Dr. Lynda Mathis, Ph.D., brings a caring, empathic, and science-driven approach to working with couples and individuals in her practice. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified EFT therapist who has been helping individuals and couples in the Flower Mound, Texas, area since 2006.

Lynda was raised in Richardson, Texas. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1996. She stayed home full-time with her two daughters for 10 years, and then she opened her clinical psychology practice in the Flower Mound area. In 2012, she began advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and was certified in EFT in 2016. She helped to establish the North Texas Emotionally Focused Therapy Community in 2014 (www.NTEFTC.com) and continues to serve on the Steering Team of this community of therapists. She is also a member of the Texas Psychological Association, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Lynda works with couples having difficulties in their relationships, healing from affairs, or simply wishing to deepen their intimacy. She also works with individuals and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, and other problems, and she performs one-on-one psychological testing for the diagnosis of ADHD, learning disorders, and other issues.
